Tools and Supplies

    • our star template
    • glitter foam paper with adhesive back
    • 3/8″ x 12″ dowel rod
    • various ribbon trims
    • craft poms
    • hot glue gun
    • thread
    • needle

STEP ONE

Using our star template, cut two stars from the sheet of glitter foam paper. Set aside.

STEP TWO

Thread the needle, and string several sizes and colors of craft poms onto two 12″ strands. Cut various ribbons and trims to 12″ long. Using hot glue, attach the strands of poms, ribbon, and trim to the end of the dowel. Make sure to distribute the strands around the dowel, rather than at the same point of origin. Set aside to dry.

STEP THREE

Remove the paper backing from the adhesive side of one glitter star. Press the glitter star onto the dowel, covering the ends of the various ribbons and trims. Turn the piece over, remove the backing from the second glitter star, align it with the first, and adhere it to the backside of the wand.

STEP FOUR

Press the two stars together to create a firm seal onto the wand and to each other.
